Platform & Infrastructure

Introducing WebbLMS: All the power of Moodle. None of the friction.

In an increasingly artificial world, the value of genuine, human-led education has never been higher. Yet, for many of us, the tools we use to facilitate learning often become the very things that slow us down.

Moodle is an incredible gift to the world. The stats alone (3.4 billion enrollments) prove its impact. But for the person on the ground, "Moodle" can also mean a heavy burden of server configurations, plugin conflicts, and the hidden mental tax of ongoing maintenance.

I’ve spent years watching institutions lose precious time to these technical hurdles. It’s always felt a bit backwards to me: you shouldn't need an entire IT department  just to deliver great courses.

This is why I started WebbLMS.

We built WebbLMS on the Moodle backbone because it’s the most powerful educational tool on earth. But we built the interface and the experience for the institution that doesn't have time to be an IT company. Our goal wasn't to reinvent the wheel, but to clear the path.

We wanted to create a space where:

  • The setup is a non-event. You can be inside your platform and ready to work in minutes, not weeks.

  • The pricing respects your budget. By focusing only on Active Users, we ensure you aren't penalized for growth or burdened by "ghost users" in your database.

  • The "tech" stays in the background. We handle the security, the updates, and the hosting so that you can return your focus to where it belongs: your students.

  • You get a curated, best-practice Moodle, so you can stop managing a platform and start leading classrooms.

If you’ve ever felt that your LMS was taking more than it was giving, I’d love for you to see what we’ve built.

Best,
Hannes Geldenhuys,
WebbLMS Founder
